DRUMMING TODAY !!!

WOW what a treat we had today playing African drums. The children had an amazing experience having one drum between two and the sound was phenomenal.
Here are some pictures of them in the hall playing the djembes.

First we did some clapping to practice our rhythm.

Then we got to play the drum.
It is called a djembe.

At the end we told a story using the drum. We made rhythms to show the sound of an elephant, a snake and a monkey.

Life-Education Caravan

We went to the Life-Education caravan and we sat down in two lines. The first thing we had to do was wake up Harold.
Then the screen showed, rain, thunderstorm and snow - wow!!!

The children were fascinated with what they saw.
The first things they learnt was about feelings.

The lady could make the room different colours. Eden chose purple. Everyone was so amazed.

Then it was time to meet Harold, Natalie, put the spotlight on ready for Harold and the room turned blue because that was Harold's favourite colour.

Here he is, he was so happy to see all the good looking children.

Time for brain break, we got up and moved to lots of different types of healthy food

Then it was time to find out what was in Harold's bag that kept him healthy. There was lots of things.
Here are some of them:

water
sunhat
healthy lunch box
soap
teddy bear for bedtime (sleep)
Tooth brush and paste
ball to indicate exercise

We learnt so many things and sat so beautfifully in the caravan. What can you remember to share with your family Room Kereru??
